If it is a free trial then why do you require a credit card or a checking account?

If you are satisfied with our services after the 30 minute trial, your account will be billed our normal monthly rate and your membership will not be interrupted. This is to maintain our research and give you the best possible sources in our report for you to make money. We strive to give you the best daily updates in our report 7 days a week.  Even if you go past the 30 minutes and get charged the 3 day trial fee, just email us and state that you just planned on getting the free trial and didn't want the 3 day trial and we will credit the $2.97 3 day trial fee.  When you email us, try to give us all the information on your order such as the username you selected and the email address you used to signup with.  This way we will not have to email you back requesting this information.  If you are requesting a refund, please email us for it.  If you call and our billing company is unable to, please email us and we will take care of it.  If you are requesting a refund, please briefly state why it didn't work out for you so we can improve our members area.  We will not question you back.  We would just like to get some feedback.

How much and how will I be paid for participating in these surveys and focus groups?

Do I need to fit a certain "demographic profile" to take surveys successfully?

What are panels and focus groups?

Focus groups and panels are a more in-depth discussion about the product or service being evaluated. They can be held on-line through chat rooms or off-line over the telephone or at a variety of locations.  They generally consist of a group of people that are brought together with a moderator to share their opinions in a group setting.  These generally last longer but pay higher than surveys.

What are surveys?

Surveys are questionnaires designed to enable companies to learn what their customers think from the answers they provide.  They can be done at a website, through an e-mail, over the phone, or sent through the mail.  The answers from all the participants are then compiled by the market research company and presented to their client.  Surveys generally are less time consuming but pay a bit less than focus groups.

How safe is my personal information?

The personal information you provide these companies is used to determine your eligibility for evaluations and to group the answers you provide with other evaluators. You, the evaluator, are the lifeline of these market research companies.  Therefore your personal information should be kept very secure and confidential.  Make sure you review each company’s privacy policy before you sign up.

How long will it take me to complete these evaluations?

The time required to complete your evaluations will vary from project to project.  In general it will take between 10-25 minutes to complete a survey, and 30-60 minutes to participate in a focus group.

What will be asked in these evaluations?

You may participate in surveys and focus groups on many different products and services from companies all over the world.   The evaluation forms will vary from company to company.  Some may be simple "yes" or "no" questions or have a rating system from one to ten.   Others may ask you to be more specific or will have a variety of questions for you to answer.  For example, you may receive a request to participate in a survey on behalf of a US car company looking to produce a new class of car.  Usually, you will receive a list of questions that you need to complete related to the product.  They could be; “What would you pay for this automobile?” “What are the top three colors you would prefer for the interior/exterior?”, “Would you prefer more power or better fuel economy?” and so on.  After you complete and return the survey, the company will compensate you for your time. 

Why do companies hire Market Research companies to perform evaluations?

Do you take out taxes or do the companies take out taxes?
